A check-in page for every stay
One private link per booking: house rules agreed, Wi-Fi and parking from your guidebook, and the door code when it is time. Guest questions and problem reports come to you.

Free software is only a good deal if it does what you need. Here is an honest list.
A good fit when
- You host one to a dozen places yourself and want the calendar, cleaning and guest basics in one place without paying for software.
- You work with your own cleaner and want them to see the schedule, checklist and codes without you texting it every time.
- You rent to tenants as well and would rather not run two apps.
- You are in the United States, where online payments and texting are supported today.
Not the right tool when
- On Core, bookings arrive by calendar link every few minutes without the guest’s contact details. If you need bookings within seconds and the guest’s name and phone, that is the direct Airbnb connection on Pro.
- Core does not send guest messages or assign cleaners by itself; you do that from the lists. Automation is what Pro is for.
- There is no dynamic pricing tool, no accounting integration beyond exports, and Gmail connection is still waiting on Google’s approval (Outlook and email forwarding work).
- Our hands-on services (cleaning crews, co-hosting, full management) are in Los Angeles and Orange County only; the software works anywhere.

What hosts ask about the free plan.
Is Rentalhand really free, or is it a trial?
Core is free for as long as you use it, with no property limit and no card on file. It is not a trial and it does not expire. Pro is optional at $19 a month per short-term rental, and you can switch it on for one property and leave the rest on Core.
What does the free plan actually include?
One calendar for Airbnb, Vrbo, Booking.com and manual bookings; a turnover task for every checkout with your checklist, photos and codes; a free workspace for your cleaner; a check-in page for every stay with your house guide; messages from saved templates; guest problem reports and maintenance; financials with payout import and a tax summary; and leases with online rent for long-term rentals.
How does Rentalhand make money if Core is free?
Four ways, all optional: Pro at $19 a month per short-term rental; add-ons that bill only when used (smart locks $7 a month per lock, guest ID checks $2.50 per guest); a 1% fee on bookings taken on your own direct booking site, plus card processing; and our hands-on services in Los Angeles and Orange County, quoted up front. There is no commission on your Airbnb, Vrbo or Booking.com bookings on Core or Pro.
Is there a limit on properties or bookings?
No. Core has no limit on properties, calendars, cleaners, guests or bookings. If you add a smart lock or turn on Pro, you pay for that property only.
What is the catch with calendar links?
Calendar (iCal) links are how every platform shares availability for free, and they are what Core uses. They refresh every few minutes rather than instantly, and they carry dates, not the guest’s name or phone. For most small hosts that is fine; if you want bookings within seconds and the guest’s contact, Pro connects Airbnb directly through Channex, Airbnb’s official channel partner.
Do I need to install anything or know how to set it up?
No. It runs in the browser on a phone or computer. Setup is pasting a calendar link per listing, adding your cleaner by name and phone, and writing your house guide once. Most hosts are running in under an hour.
