Take applications through a link, not a text thread
Twelve interested people, twelve half-answered questions, no way to compare.
The first fair thing you can do for applicants, and for yourself, is ask everyone the same questions in the same order and keep the answers in one place.
A link does that. It also keeps pay stubs and ID out of your text messages, where they should never be.
