Money
Invoices from completed cleans, card payments, receipts.
/cleaners → Money
The top of the tab is the month in numbers: billed (invoices issued this month), collected (paid this month, tips included), waiting to be paid with how much is late (15 days or more), and what is still to bill. Last six months shows billed against collected, and Who owes you lists each client with an open invoice, how long the oldest has waited, and whether a card is on file; tap a name to see just their invoices.
Exports (Invoices heading): pick a range, then QuickBooks invoices (one row per clean, in the layout QuickBooks Online imports under Settings → Import data → Invoices; the Product/Service is Cleaning, which QuickBooks offers to create), Payments (money received, one row per paid invoice, for your bookkeeper or the bank feed) and Customers (your clients in the QuickBooks customer import layout). Drafts and voided invoices are never exported.
Bill a month builds one invoice per client from the completed cleans of the month, at the client’s rate. Nothing is billed twice: a billed clean carries its invoice, so a clean completed late goes on the next invoice.
Invoices: Send emails it to the client with a link to their page. Mark paid… asks how (cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, card at the door, other). Void cancels a draft. Every paid invoice has Send receipt; when the client has no email on file the button asks for one and saves it.
Card payments are off until you turn them on: under the month overview, one line reads Card payments: off with Set up payouts beside it and What it costs underneath. Set up payouts opens your own Stripe account and walks through Stripe’s onboarding (identity, bank account). Once Check status shows payouts enabled, the panel shows Ready, a sent invoice on the client page carries Pay by card and the money goes to your account.
- Bank transfers and tips (Money → Card payments and payouts, shown once payouts are set up; the fee table is behind Fees): with bank transfers on, clients can pay an invoice from their bank on Stripe’s page (0.8% processing, at most $5, plus the platform fee; 3 to 5 business days, and the invoice shows Bank transfer on its way until it arrives). With tips on, the pay screen offers 10%, 15%, 20% or an amount; the whole tip is yours and the receipt shows it.
- Rentalhand is the platform, never the merchant of record; card payments settle to your Stripe account. Stripe takes its processing there, and refunds and card disputes (chargebacks) are yours to handle in your Stripe dashboard.
- A card a client kept on file before payments moved to your own Stripe account (November 2026) cannot be charged there: it is cleared, the invoice is emailed, and the client can save the card again when paying.
