Smart locks for your units

Tenant codes, showing codes and agent or vendor passes on a smart lock: $7 per lock per month, no Pro needed.

Long-term leases → Leases → Access, or a long-term property’s Smart home section

Landlords never need Pro. Smart locks for long-term units are an optional add-on at $7 per connected lock per month, paid by card through Stripe; everything else in the landlord workspace is free.

With the add-on on, connect your lock account (August, Schlage, Yale and others) and choose the lock for a property or a unit. Each tenant gets a door code from move-in that stays on until you end the lease; it never switches off on the end date. Add showing texts a visitor a one-hour code, Agent pass gives a listing agent daily hours, and contractors get a code for their window.

The add-on is one line on your bill: $7 for each connected lock, and at least one lock while it is on. One lock is $7 a month, three are $21. Thermostats and noise sensors are not counted. If you also host short-term stays on Pro, Pro counts only the short-term rentals and all your locks stay on the same $7 line.

  1. Press Add smart locks on the Leases page (Access) or in a long-term property’s Smart home section, and finish the Stripe checkout.
  2. Connect your lock account and choose the lock for each property or unit.
  3. Tenant codes start by themselves for active leases; use Add showing or Agent pass for visitors.
  • Ending a lease removes its tenant code. Canceling the add-on from Manage billing in Account settings removes the codes on long-term units.
  • Door codes for short-term stays are part of Pro.
